Catherine McCausland
Catherine McCausland has exhibited her work in St. John's, Corner Brook, Ottawa, Toronto, London, Ontario amd Washington, DC. She has been involved in group exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Newfoundland Museum and The Rooms.
Catherine grew up with her mother's love of textiles and embellishments. This early attraction to the fibre arts led her to further studies at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax and the Textile Studies programme at the College of the North Atlantic in St. John's. Reclaimed textiles feature prominently in all of Catherine's work. She feels that there are memories imbued in fabric that has passed through homes and lives.
