Wonders from the Forge
An exhibition of new sculpture by Marc Fiset, May 15 – May 29, 2026
My thoughts and dreams are reflected in the creatures and situations I depict in my metal sculptures. Their varied sizes and frequently mixed metal compositions give my sculptures depth and vitality. Every sculpture I create is fully handcrafted; no machines are involved to shape the metal; instead, a hammer and some heat are used.
The inspiration for all my artwork comes from my life experiences, emotions, the island I call home, many cultures, mythology, and nature. When the idea is clear in my mind, I start working on the sculpture; there are no sketches, blueprints, or plans involved in my process. My creative method ensures that my pieces undergo continuous evolution until they are finished.
I want the viewer to be able to go to a place of wonder and awe through my art. Although I'm sure that not everyone will feel the same way I do about any of my creations (we all have different perspectives) I hope that my work elicits a response in everyone who glances at it.
